DESCRIPTION

Luminaries is an temporary interactive light installation at the Brookfield place Mall in downtown Installation. It was designed to provide downtown Manhattan with a holiday landmark that allows people to come together, celebrate and make memories. Luminaires is composed of 650 LED (Philips Color Kinetics) lanterns, that use color animations - ambient, and 'glockenspiel' to create a dramatic immersive atrium. Three 'wishing' stations allow visitors to interact with the canopy by sending 'wishes' through it - each wish, progressively spreading through the installation as a color and animation takeover.
